Artereal Gallery presents ‘Quest’ by Noula Diamantopoulos

WEDNESDAY 13 AUGUST – SUNDAY 17 AUGUST | Art, Talks and Walks

Melbourne Art Fair ticket holders.
Artereal Gallery are excited to present Quest, a performance by Sydney based artist Noula Diamantopoulos at the 2014 Melbourne Art Fair.

Interested members of the public are invited to participate in a short written dialogue with the artist where complete silence will be observed. Participants will begin by writing a question on a piece of paper. In response, the artist will reflect on this question before replying with a question of her own. And so the performance will continue…

The challenging format of this performance belies the answer driven society in which live today. By deliberately focusing on the question rather than the answer, the performance forces participants to stop, pause and reflect – a process which in many instances leads individuals to the realization that the initial question with which they began, is not in fact, the real question which lies at the heart of the matter after all.
