The Melbourne Art Foundation and AGWA are partnering to commission a significant new work by a leading Australian-based artist to be unveiled at Melbourne Art Fair 2024, and later forming part of the AGWA permanent collection.
Melbourne Art Fair is the region’s most progressive forum for contemporary art and ideas and Australia’s premier contemporary art fair. With the endorsement of the Art Galleries Association of Australia (AGAA), the Fair continues to be a seminal fixture on the Australian cultural calendar, stimulating critical and commercial attention for artists for over three decades by presenting a rich and diverse cross-section of the region’s visual art scene. The biennial art fair returns 22 – 25 February 2024 to an audience of over 15,000 at the Denton Corker Marshall designed Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
