After careful consideration of COVID-19, consultation with industry and advice from the Victorian Government, Melbourne Art Foundation has made the decision to reschedule Melbourne Art Fair (planned for June 2020) to 4 – 7 February 2021.
With uncertainty surrounding future months and in light of recent developments here in Australia and overseas, our greatest concern and priority is for the health and well-being of our team, our exhibiting galleries, their artists and the wider community.
Although this has been a very difficult decision to make, we feel very fortunate to work and exist in such a supportive visual arts community. With a compelling list of exhibiting galleries, exciting fair program and new works by artists already well underway, Melbourne Art Foundation will continue to plan with galleries, artists and partners to deliver our best fair yet, in February 2021.
We look forward to welcoming the community to Melbourne in the warmer summer months, to continue Australasia’s progressive forum for contemporary art and ideas.
In the interim, we look forward to staying connected with you through our online platforms.
We wish you, your families and loved ones good health and happiness during this difficult time.
