GALLERY NIGHT | LIVE: MARS Gallery presents Scotty So

Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre: 1 Convention Centre Pl, South Wharf VIC 3006

Scotty So roams the streets of Melbourne city performing As She Floats.

She started to float into the sky because of the overdose. Although he wanted to shoot her in order to prevent her from floating further, he could not bear to aim the arrow at her. She kept on floating until she landed on the moon.

Scotty So appears across Collins St and Flinders Lane precinct, silently lip syncing a Chinese Opera inspired by the ancient story of the Chinese moon goddess Chang’e. Dressed in a holographic Tang dynasty style Hanfu robe with hair and makeup styled after the traditional images of the moon goddess, So performs as an offering to the spirits of the space.

Scotty So is represented by MARS Gallery (Melbourne Art Fair, Booth D3)

LIVE is presented by Glenfiddich and supported by City of Melbourne. GALLERY NIGHT is presented as part of the Broadsheet LATE NIGHTS program, and is supported by City of Melbourne through the Events Partnership Program (EPP).
