Adele Warner (b. 1999) graduated from the National Art School, Sydney, in 2022. In 2024 she had her debut solo show, Views of Paradise, with Minerva in Sydney. Adele was subsequently awarded the prestigious 2024 Brett Whiteley Travelling Scholarship by the Art Gallery of New South Wales, for which she will undertake a residency at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris mid-2025. Her second solo show will be at Minerva in June 2025.

Adele’s practice overlays a post-internet condition onto the European painterly canon. Inspired by experiences of untethering and dislocation within contemporary metropolitan life, works speak to a lingering sense of malaise within the everyday. Drawing imagery from the bowels of digital archives, she creates a dialogue in oil between the present and a pre-internet past, investigating a disassociation from identity, community, and purpose.
