Kim Westcott is a significant Australian artist with over 35 years of exhibition history. Known for her large-scale drypoints from her early career, she has since expanded her practice to include bold paintings and engravings. In her mid-20s, Westcott trained as a master printmaker in New York under the mentorship of Garner Tullis, a formative experience that deeply shaped her development. Her work is driven by profound connection to the world around her, exploring the interconnection and interplay of emotions, movements, and intensities found in nature. Westcott invites viewers into a dynamic space where the artwork evolves, revealing complex patterns and vibrational energy. Her artworks are held in major Australian collections, including the National Gallery of Australia and the National Gallery of Victoria, as well as internationally, including the New York Public Library. Based in North East Victoria, she has drawn inspiration from the surrounding forest for over 25 years.
