Muna Kulyuru is a respected artist, Aṉangu teacher and community leader working through Tjala Arts at Amata in the Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands, South Australia. She has been painting since she was young, first through the schools at Pukatja/Ernabella and Amata, where she learned to mix colours and paint in the batik style. Now Kulyuru paints exclusively with acrylic, using punu (wood) sticks to lay down the important Aṉangu stories she wishes to showcase to the world.
