Back to Program

Join Andy Kelly in conversation with MAF ambassador Holly Lucas, designer Sam Henley of Agglomerati, and creative consultant Rebecca Harding for a candid discussion on building a design practice today.

This talk explores what it means to enter the design world from other industries and disciplines, the pivots, the risks, and the realities of building a business alongside a creative practice. From finding clients and collaborators, to making meaningful connections and cutting through a crowded market, the conversation looks at how emerging and mid-career creatives are carving out space for themselves on their own terms.

An honest, practical conversation about visibility, value, and learning how to be heard without losing your point of view.

Featuring:
Andy Kelly (Melbourne Art Fair, Oigåll Projects, Brud Studia)
Holly Lucas (co-founder, Bureau of Innovation)
Sam Henley (Founder, Agglomerati, co-founder, Bureau of Innovation)
Rebecca Harding (co-founder, LUI Body)

To attend this talk, please ensure you’ve purchased your Melbourne Art Fair ticket.

The CONVERSATIONS program is curated by Melbourne Art Fair and presented by Guardian Australia.
