Arts Project Australia (APA) portrait professional Amani Tia invites participants of this workshop
to do what he loves most, painting people from life. Participants will have turns painting each other, guided by Amani and supported by Staff Artist Rob McHaffie.
Amani Tia is a confident draughtsperson with an aptitude for both technical drawings and quick capture sketches. He effortlessly shifts between styles, which reflect his subject and environment, demonstrating his observational awareness and artistic knowledge. Amani is skilled at rendering the spaces around him and capturing people’s likeness. He enjoys sketching crowds and creating live event portraits.
