Join actor, dancer, and researcher Sekar Sari for Merasa, an embodied reflection on the core ideas of correspondences’ MAF presentation This Way, That Way— drawing from the practices of her collaborators, shared source inspirations, and intersections with her doctoral research into intercultural cinema. Through live movement, Sekar explores themes of transnational and diasporic cinema, multicultural realism, and the body as a site of knowledge and relation. At the heart of this work is the Indonesian concept of rasa: a shared sensory–spiritual space where feeling and perception emerge through attunement. Grounded in the concept of rasa, Merasa engages embodied sensing as a mode of attention shaped by relation, difference, and shared presence.
Location: correspondences, Booth PR2
