Jordan Gogos Designs Bold, Vibrant Glenfiddich Whisky Bar
The 17th edition of Melbourne Art Fair sees the return of Glenfiddich‘s whisky pop up bar for a second year; bigger and better for 2024.
Designed in collaboration with artist, fashion designer and Fair Ambassador Jordan Gogos, the Glenfiddich whisky bar will sling cocktails created by award-winning Melbourne bar Caretaker’s Cottage and feature a line-up of DJ’s spinning vinyl each night. Inspired by Glenfiddich’s meaning, ‘valley of the deer’, Jordan’s design features his unique and colourful textile art and sculptural furniture.
Based in Gadigal Country/Sydney, Gogos is a queer, Greek-Australian multi disciplinary artist and Powerhouse Museum creative resident, known for his textile art and object/furniture design. He debuted his namesake brand, Iordanes Spyridon Gogos at Australian Fashion Week 2021 and in 2022 cemented his name as an artist breaking from convention at AAFW 2022. Gogos uses industrialised techniques to create a combination of colour and textiles, resulting in ‘wearable art’ and structural pieces reflective of his boundless energy and bold output.
