Claire Markwick-Smith is a designer and maker from Adelaide, South Australia. For the past decade, Claire has worked across spatial and object design in Australia and overseas. Making and presenting work at the intersection of design and sculpture, she explores the relationship between composition, construction processes and materiality. Through a speculative, sculptural approach to forms made from offcut materials, her practice is steeped in assessing and responding to modernist movements.
